Imagine

You can download a PDF of the Imagine exhibition book here. It includes bios of all artists, links to images of the featured works, and the text of the original poetry and spoken word pieces that are part of the videos.

The Virtual Journey takes place in four segments, one posted each day during Refugee Week (15-19 June 2020). Links for all the virtual journey video segments are available here.

We just wanted to keep creating, so here are two ‘Imagine’ extras:

Imagine: A Virtual Art Exhibition for World Refugee Week, 15-21 June

This year World Refugee Week takes place 15-21 June. The theme, ‘Imagine’, seems more relevant than ever. As lives around the world have been upended by the global coronavirus crisis, we need renewed imagination and creative problem solving to help bring us into a more sustainable and balanced future, one that doesn’t yet exist–one for which the path will only be made by walking it one courageous step at a time. Though public health restrictions will prevent us from gathering during World Refugee Week this year, Christ Church Cathedral is partnering with Art Nomads and Welcome Café Dublin to create a virtual exhibition of diverse voices around the theme ‘Imagine’. The virtual exhibition will include art in a variety of media and recordings of the artists’ own reflections on their work and processes. Video installments of the digital ‘Imagine’ pilgrimage or journey will be shared during World Refugee Week.
